Council of Governors and The Board does not directly manage the operational aspects of the Trust; instead, they serve as an essential link between the community and the Trust’s leadership. The council-of-governors plays a critical role in maintaining communication with the Board, ensuring they are held accountable for the Trust’s performance. They are responsible for delivering regular feedback on the Trust’s vision, achievements, and overall operations to the constituencies and interest groups that elected and/or nominated them.
We have 20 elected and six nominated Governors on the Board:
- Staff Governors: Elected by staff members.
- Public Governors: Elected by members of the public.
- Stakeholder Governors: Nominated by partner organizations such as North Yorkshire Council.
